Join us January 17th, 2009 for our monthly meeting. Our meetings start at 10:00am and last until 1:00pm, although we usually adjourn a bit early to have a Chinese buffet. Everyone is welcome to attend…if you are curious about robotics please stop by. Bring your current project, in any state of completion, for show and tell or to ask for help. Our members come from a wide range of professions and are more than willing to lend a hand.
This month’s meeting will have a focus on line following. Several line following tracks are expected to be there, and there will be informal line following competitions. Bring your line follower, no matter how simple or complex, and give it a run. Line following is a great way to get started in amatuer robotics, and very simple robots can compete effectively. Expect to see a wide range of line following robots including a Pololu 3pi, a Solarbotics Sumovore in line following mode, and Winston’s super secret built in one day 3pi killer.
