Join us March 15th, 2008 for our monthly meeting. Our meetings start at 10:00am and last until 1:00pm, although we usually adjourn a bit early to have a Chinese buffet. Everyone is welcome to attend…if you are curious about robotics please stop by. Bring your current project, in any state of completion, for show and tell or to ask for help. Our members come from a wide range of professions and are more than willing to lend a hand.

Monthly Mini competition March


Our resident competition master, FlexwingMike, has announced that we will be doing the “Gap” competition again this month. There have been some interesting entries so far, including the mole trap jumper and a morphing Lego bot.

Game: Gap

Goal: The robot starts on one table. After a three second delay the robot moves from one table to the next over a one-foot gap. Robots must not fall off the table. The shortest time wins.

Robot:

• Autonomous
• 3-second delay
• 1-foot cube max starting size
• 15lb weight limit
• Build with any safe materials
